Abdominoplasty

Because Feeling Good in Your Body Matters

Address excess skin, abdominal laxity, and contour changes after pregnancy, weight loss, or aging with a personalized abdominoplasty procedure.

Have you lost weight but still struggle with loose skin or a protruding lower abdomen? Have pregnancy or aging left you with loose skin, a lower abdominal bulge, or a midsection that feels difficult to improve on your own?

For many people, the concern is not simply about wanting a flatter stomach. It is about feeling frustrated when clothing does not fit the way it used to, when the lower abdomen feels heavy or unsupported, or when the body no longer feels as strong and connected as it once did.

While these changes are common, they can affect comfort, confidence, posture, and the way you feel in your body every day.

If you experience any of the following concerns, abdominoplasty may be an effective solution for you:

  • You have loose or stretched abdominal skin
  • You notice a lower abdominal bulge that does not improve with exercise
  • You have changes after pregnancy or significant weight loss
  • You feel your abdomen lacks firmness or support
  • You struggle with clothing fit because of excess skin or tissue
  • You are in good overall health and have realistic expectations

Understanding Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty, often called a tummy tuck, is designed to remove excess abdominal skin and tissue while improving the shape and firmness of the midsection.

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and is tailored to your anatomy, concerns, and goals. During surgery, separated abdominal muscles (diastases recti) may be repaired when needed.

For some patients, liposuction may also be included to improve waistline definition and create a smoother transition between the abdomen and surrounding areas. The incision is carefully planned as low as possible so it can often be concealed beneath underwear or swimwear.

Dr. Solaja’s Approach to Abdominoplasty

Dr. Solaja believes abdominoplasty requires careful planning, responsible patient selection, and complete transparency. He explains the procedure, recovery, and expected outcome honestly so that you can make a well-informed decision.

Your health remains his first consideration at every stage. His goal is a balanced, natural result achieved without compromising safety for a more dramatic change.

Recovery After Abdominoplasty

Recovery after abdominoplasty is gradual, and every patient heals at their own pace. Most patients are encouraged to walk shortly after surgery to support circulation, but rest and limited activity are important during the early stages of healing. Swelling, tightness, and temporary discomfort are expected as the abdomen begins to recover.

More strenuous activities and exercise are reintroduced gradually over the following weeks, based on your healing and Dr. Solaja’s guidance. As swelling improves, the abdominal contour becomes more refined and the final result continues to develop over time. Throughout your recovery, Dr. Solaja and his team will monitor your progress, answer your questions, and support you every step of the way.

Back to Daily Life and Feeling More Confident

Many patients describe abdominoplasty as helping them feel more comfortable and connected to their body again. Clothing may fit more smoothly. The lower abdomen may feel lighter and firmer. Patients often feel more comfortable in fitted clothing, swimwear, and everyday movement. For those with muscle separation, repairing the abdominal wall can also help restore a stronger sense of core support.
The goal of abdominoplasty is not to change who you are. It is to help your body feel more balanced, supported, and reflective of the way you want to move through life.
